You've got a friend in me!
Birthday Day
We started the morning with our birthday tradition. Chick-fil-a and party hats!
We usually(for Calebs 1st and 2nd) we get cfa lunch and have a picnic at a park. But we couldn’t have Daddy for lunch, so we did a breakfast.
A must have, tradition picture of Mommy, Daddy and the birthday kid
Ansley ate egg for the first time. She actually ate it and like it. Yay!
Daddy had to go to work, so I took the kids to the park. Ansley already had her morning nap, but apparently being the birthday girl is exhausting. Its your birthday, you can sleep if you want to. I finally woke her up for her bottle and a little play time.
She’s usually not impressed with the park. Can’t do anything but the swings, and they usually scare her. But today, now that she is a big girl, she loved it! Laughed and laughed!
It was a beautiful day, all day!
Getting close to crawling!
ONE.
Speaking of doing new big girl things, she is holding two objects for the first time(a developmental milestone, yay!), and she ate tiny bites of turkey for lunch.
This actually wasn’t planned. Caleb was playing with chalk, so I sat AE down and started doodling around her. Turned out pretty cute!
Birthday present. I let her open it all by herself.
Usually you try to hurry them along in the opening process to get to the next present. But today she just had one, so I let her do it all!
Slowly but surely. She loved doing it too.
Ta da!
Her highchair is still decked out with balloons and the tutu! I love it. We donned the party hats again and sang Happy birthday and she enjoyed a cupcake. Vanilla this time. And by enjoyed I mean, didn’t eat just made a big mess!

1st Birthday Party
Aunt Allie
Papa
Chris and Morgan
Ansley doesn’t really eat enough foods to make a party. But I did use what she likes/can eat to make the menu. She like to eat/chew on pizza crust so we had pizza. She eats puffs so there was a candy jar of those. She eats avocado, so we had guacamole. We added watermelon, onion dip and chips to the menu as well. If I went just with her diet I think it would have been bananas, avocado, oatmeal and yogurt-see not the best menu.
Caleb enjoying the guac and “chip-ays”
Present time. She was pretty interested in getting the paper off!
Her first set of tevas!
Girlie books! Books are for eating, right?
A couple of the presents were as big as she is!
She liked opening presents. She did not like us taking away the new present to open a new one.
Thank you everyone for all of her gifts! We are all really appreciative of your company and your generosity. I am sure she is going to love having some girlie toys!
Gmom and Gdad gave her some hairbows. After all those tears, we finally just let her keep those.
Cake time. Now how do we convince her to give us the hair bows?
Bad timing. I took away the hairbows! Not evening singing it fixing it!
Its my party and I can cry if I want to!
oh, cake! I‘ll take that!
She made one of my mommy dreams come true. She ate her cake and made a mess!
Apparently it was hard work. That’s her sleepy pose. She took a little break and then went back for more!
Caleb had the best time! Loved every minute!
Ansley we are so happy you are apart of our family!
Happy birthday sweet girl!
Yay, Ansley!
Pretty good job for Miss Priss and her non eating self!
She only gagged a couple of times!
She got me! And she loved it!
Birthday suit!
Daddy and the girl
There were a bunch of adults and quite a few toddlers, but there were only 2 friends of Ans. Madelyn and Dorothy, thanks for coming girls!!
