Spaghetti
Caleb had spaghetti for the first time tonight! (with special egg free noodles!) It was a huge hit! He ate and ate and ate! I chose Penne this time to the ease factor for a new eater but I might try another kind next time. Any suggestions?
Weird FOO(family of origin) tradition: Eat applesauce and drink milk with spaghetti. Caleb got his milk a little later but he couldn’t skip out on the applesauce.
Cooking dinner was one thing but cleanup was a another! Now that our first spaghetti meal is over, I think I remember something about taking the clothes off of the kid before serving spaghetti. I didn’t get my official MOM warning. So count this as your official warning if you haven’t made my mistake yet! And I thought I was doing good to roll up his sleeves…

11 Months!
(really?)
This is the last ONE before the big ONE! Holy Moly! This is our last baby month update, I can’t believe it! Here are so tidbits:
- Sleeps from 7-7:30pm to 5-6am
- Size 4 diapers
- 18month clothes, although we are still squeezing in some 12 months
- Loves cups, balls, outside, books, cords/straps, the shower, TV(very limited, I promise)
- Favorite foods:puffs, mummums, cheerios, and GRAPES!
- He is Mr.Fidget now, wiggles everywhere
- Gives lot of kisses, waves hi(when he is in his carseat or highchair), has a funny laugh when he is excited, and the whinning has picked up
- A lot more talking, but the only real words are Mama, and MOM!(funny though, I was trying to get him to say Dada first, but hey I will take it!)
- Is rolling around everywhere! He is not super fast just yet, so we still have a little time to catch him!
- He loves TV. We used to be able to have it on in the background but now he stops playing and just watches it. We don’t mind him watching football or if he is doing some PT exercises while watching. Most mornings I have him working out on the exercise ball watching the wiggles or Veggie Tales.
- Has figured out a few toys! (yeah, cognitive development!) He can open/close, on/off, in/out! He is now incorporating playing with his eating of toys! He loves his bucket of small toys, and it is like searching for hidden treasure to find that silly paci in there.
- He needs something to do in the kitchen now while we are either getting meals ready or cleaning up. He will sit in front of the Tupperware cabinet or in front of the fridge and play with magnets.
- LOVES feeding himself. Some days he even boycotts the spoon. He is a big boy now! He even has had his first (of many) taco nights.
- Drinks from a straw now! We have been working on this for a little while and he finally got it(literally!) Straw drinking will increase his tone in his face and help with speech!
- And yes, we have joined the “Can’t-get-the-kid-to-stay-in-the-chair-for-pictures” Club! (no one was hurt in the making of this post!)

Bears photoshoot
This wasn’t exactly a successful photoshoot because of lighting, movement and cooperation! But we did get this one cute one and some silly ones. We will have to try again another day! (by the way, that is Josh’s hat, not that you could tell because it almost fits our boy!)
Some funny outtakes!
Go Bears!

Let the ‘festivals’ begin
Our neighbors, Heather, Mike and Jake invited us to a local festival on Saturday. We met up there after naps, and it was such a great day. Caleb got to ride his first train, first carousel and even got his first balloon.
One ticket please. Thanks Mr.Mike for his train ticket. I can’t believe how much he liked it. He acted similar to his first boat ride, where he talked the whole time. I wouldn’t have thought he would have been old enough to enjoy it. But he sure did.
One more ticket please. (The tickets were technically for me, C was free) I’m definitely getting old though. The round and round was a bit much for me but Caleb seemed to enjoy himself. He kept trying to lean over and see the horses face.
We sure did miss our Daddy(he was working at the camp) but all these treats helped ease the pain.
Hard time-tummy time
We have really been pushing tummy time lately because he has to get stronger (and happier) if he is to ever start crawling. If we hold him and you didn’t know differently you would think that he could crawl if not walk by the way he wiggles to get down. He has the mentality to want to move and really thinks he can, he is just too weak.
His new trick lately is to roll over on his tummy and stay there for a little bit when he is supposed to be napping! It’s is hilarious to watch on the monitor because you would think that WE were making him to that. He gets so whiney! Gotta love the video monitors!
Then the other day, Caleb and Mommy were just hanging out in the shade under a tree and he rolled himself on to his tummy. He was probably there for about 20 minutes(usually its about 2.5sec). He was so miserable, whiny and frustrated. But again, he put himself there and he knows how to roll out of it, so I left him there as long as he would stay. He makes me laugh, it’s like he knows he has to put in some hard work! By the end(notice the 2nd picture, top row) he was a teary, snotty mess so I picked him up and gave him some hugs and praise for all his hard work!
Another version of mandatory tummy time-between pillows. I tried to block him with the pillows so he could not roll over. Not interested. Not happy. I thought he might be tolerant for a little while but no such luck.
And he thought PT was just Tuesday mornings at 8:15…
ha.
Enjoying the NC morning!
This IS the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Carseat. (Snug as a bug)
Sleepy Boy. (Still hums while he sleeps!)
Caleb Onsie.(yes, I have them in every size)
