We went camping this past weekend with family and had a blast!
As soon as we got there, Josh and I were setting up camp and Caleb was exploring. Next thing we knew he was eating the dirt and rocks. (notice his lower teeth, that was after I had swept his mouth out, yuck!) Ok. So time for dinner!
blurry but cute.
Chris, Nicole, Morgan and Cate got there. Caleb was just amazed by them.
Mommy and Caleb.(Caleb is watching Daddy work to set up camp)
Caleb usually is so scared of Chris. So we had to get a picture!
Cate(5) and Caleb(19months)
We always do the same boring camp food. This time I googled some ideas and came up with biscuits on a stick and eggs in a bag for one of our breakfasts. It was fun and turned out perfect.
Just relaxing and reading.
Morgan(8)
Deer were everywhere. One even came up to our camp!
Canoeing.
This was my family canoe when I was growing up.
Josh has had his eye on it since we were dating. My mom promised it to him, once I had a ring on my finger. We finally got it up to our house last summer and then we finally took it out for our maiden voyage this weekend! This picture is probably like literally 20 years ago!
Peaky Peak!
Chris, Nicole, Morgan and Cate.
Caleb getting very sleepy!
Fading!
Gone!
He couldn’t get comfortable long enough to stay sleeping and woke up mad. So we had to stop for a snack and reset. Good decision.
The kids had a blast.
“No swimming or wading” What? Us?
Caleb’s camping chair.
Enjoyed some pool time in the middle of the hot afternoon.
Smores! I bought Caleb so special chocolate(with out milk) so he could enjoy some for the first time. He couldn’t have cared less!
He was more interested in the marshmellow on his hands than he was to eat it. (that bite was mine, trying to convince him it was yummy)
Can you say Oxyclean?
Later I made a smore for myself with regular chocolate and guess who was ready for a bite!?! I was able to find a spot with just the marshmellow and cracker.
Aunt Nicole.
