I Heart Triad Park

Caleb was having a rough time yesterday. Nothing I did would console him, he cried hysterically for one hour. I finally decided to just drive. I was trying to think of a place I could go that wouldn't have too much traffic(since I would have a crying baby and my stress level would be up) and remembered someone told me about a park. So I decided we would try to find the park. It ended up being pretty close to our house. (by the way Caleb stopped crying as soon as I put him in his carseat!) I LOVE this new park. It is so pretty and relaxing. We went back today with lunch and friends!

Today I was going to go on a quick walk.
C fell asleep immediately.
So my short walk turned into a hour walk.
I am going to loose weight one nap at a time!

Today we celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary!

Two picture Tuesday!

I had this really cute short-all or "John John" for Caleb to wear. It was a 6-9 mo, so I thought I had plenty of time to get him to wear it. I put in on him the other day and I could barely snap it! It made me feel like I had a wedgie it was so tight on him...but it was soooo cute...what's a Mom to do!?!!? Go outside for a photo shoot! This is one of the cutest shots I got, he was giggling! After getting proof of how cute Caleb was in the outfit we went inside and changed.

A couple of my friends do cloth diapering. Although I am not up for it on a regular basis(I can't even believe that I have considered it!), I did buy Caleb a swim cloth diaper called a SWIMMI. I bought one cloth swim diaper for the price of a pack of regular swim diapers. I will be able to just throw it in the wash with his swim suit and always have it when I need it all throughout the summer. (I had already bought a pack of the disposable kind so I will have those for backup if I need it!).

Swimming Lessons

A local church has a pool and offers swim lessons. It is once a week for 6 weeks. Today was our first day. He did great!

Sweet (potato) Sucess!

It's official Caleb likes sweet potato! You can tell he likes what you give him when he puts his thumb in his mouth after each bite, sucks it for 2 seconds and then squeals with his mouth wide open.

I bought some green beans for his next food. I am a little nervous about this one for two reasons, one-I never cook fresh green beans for myself( I love canned) and two- you have to add an extra step and strain them because of the skin. We will see how this one works. Gerber may have my attention for green beans!

Baby Food

We are adding new foods to Caleb's diet every 4 days. They say that you should have a 4 day wait between foods to rule out any allergies. Besides oatmeal, we have done bananas, applesauce, pear and avocado. I am making his baby food myself because we want him to have wholesome foods instead of processed. It is really simple and easy to do. You make a bunch at a time and then freeze them in ice cube trays. Then they are ready when you need them. Right now I think his favorite is banana(he says "mmmmmmmm" when he eats it!) and his least favorite is avocado(he seems ok with it now, but the first time he gagged!) The next food that we will start this weekend is sweet potato.

Happy Easter from our family to yours! We hope you enjoy this time with family and friends, but more importantly we hope you have accepted this wonderful gift God has given us-His son, Jesus! Thank you Jesus for dying for OUR sins so that we may be justified before God.

He has conquered death and risen, something that we could not do for ourselves. Jesus is ALIVE! Praise the Lord!
