While Caleb and I were up playing in his room, we were being silly and playing with his bumbo (that was put away in his closet) and his rocker. I couldn’t help but laugh to think of Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears!

This little rocker was mine when I was little. It has Leigh Anne engraved on it. My brothers each have one too, and I am sure if his Nana could find them again, Caleb would have one of us own. Until then, mine works perfect.
Josh has been a Bears fan since he was a kid. And now, as his wife, I am a fan too. So for his birthday, I surprised him and got him tickets to the Bears v. Panthers game and got his grandparents, Papa and Vicki to babysit!
A friend of mine has season tickets so she showed us the ropes with how to get there and tailgating.

At the game. So much fun but even hotter! See the wall behind us, yep its the top of the stadium! 5 rows from the top! We were just happy to be there, see the game, enjoy time together(are seats were away from everyone else), and enjoy time with friends.
How else are you supposed to get the birds eye view! ha. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky so the sun was a real scorcher! The Bears pulled it off and got the win.
Daddy had to go to a conference for work(at the beach). So we decided to join him, and get a bonus beach trip. The first day and a half were a little chilly(too chilly to really have a beach day) but the rest of the time was great. Caleb and I just hung out all day. It was fun to see how much more Caleb was interested in the sand and ocean this time compared to when we went to the beach in July.
Our room was ocean front. It had a sliding glass door, but no patio. Caleb loved standing there and holding on to the bars and looking out. It was a little scary for Mommy because his head fit through the bars!
First day. Chilly, but wonderful.
Caleb loved standing at the ocean and have the tide come in and out. He would have stayed there as long as I let him.
Loved it. He is actually screaming with excitement and talking here, he is not upset at all.

We all loved the walks on the beach.
One night there was a Dinner Cruise with work, and Caleb and I got to join the group. Yep, I was that parent and let him play with the sugar and straws. He was happy and not bothering a soul.

Lunch on the beach. The start of the gorgeous days. Notice the bird in the background. They were just waiting on Caleb to feed them. Every so often I would have to run around and scare them off which Caleb found to be oh so funny. Glad I could be the entertainment.

We had such a great time. We all were glad to be able to be together at the beach. Josh actually had to go to the conference and did not get to enjoy the beach as much as we did. But, Caleb and I were both glad the conference was at the beach and we were able to tag along. Caleb of course did great and he even stayed up past his bedtime most of the nights we were there.
Caleb loves fruit. But sometimes he won’t pick up or eat slimy foods. So today I tried one of the techniques that I had read about. Crush some cheerios to make dust and then roll the fruit in it and viola…non-slimy-easy-to-pick-up-bites! And it worked. He finished his breakfast like a champ, I used pears today.
The last thing I really needed though was another way to get cheerios in him. He can eat and eat them. He loves his cheerios!

October 1st marks the first day of Caleb’s first BIRTHDAY MONTH! What better way to celebrate than to wear your birthday boy shirt and spend sometime outside enjoying this October air.

I was singing “Happy Birthday” to Caleb for the first time while I was getting him dressed. He thought it was so funny, maybe it was my singing, maybe it was because I was giddy doing it and giving him blubber between each verse! Who knows?!?!?
