Now you saw how fast that he could move when he is in his walker, but did you know he is trying to move on his own?
He can get up from kneeling to standing or sitting to standing. We have to be careful where we sit up because he might just pull on up, like in the bath tub. We will eventually have a “no standing in the bath” rule, but we are encouraging that behavior right now.(just keeping a close eye/hand on him to keep him safe). And now he shows effort to sit back down(or kinda fall on his rump) or squat down to pick something up. These two down motions take a lot of balance and he is still working hard.
He loves to stand and hold on to things, even the most unsteady of objects.
He has two similar push toys and a shopping cart that he loves to walk around with. We have to hide these toys sometimes so that he will play with other toys(or so we can sit still!). If he can reach any of the push toys he will get it. Josh said the other day(which was a first for us) “did you move him” - Nope he cruised down the entire couch, up the ottoman and was standing with his cart! So fun to see some independent movement! Oh and by the way he is cruising too!
He is still not so good a steering and you have to get everything out of his path! He walk and walk until he runs into something!
Also,he is climbing the stairs. If you get anywhere close to them he about jumps out of your arms to climb up! I am super impressed that “Mr. I don’t crawl” enjoys crawling up the stairs!
I AM SOOOO EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS!!! This is super happy news :) I can't wait to see him cruising around!!!
