Cowboy Caleb

I knew Aunt Anne had a pony. I had no idea that she had a barn full of Caleb’s dreams! I asked her if Caleb could see a horse. She took it to the next level! Thanks Anne, you made his year!

Introducing Caleb to Duke. They stayed like this for a while. Anne said they were both getting used to each other. Caleb was talking like a mile a minute. So excited. Duke definitely needed to get used to him!

Anne took him under her wing and showed and taught Caleb all that she could that night. He was soaking it all in!

And this started his obsession with “pads”. Every blanket, burp cloth or whatever he can find is now a pad.

After an hour or two, everyone was done. Except for Caleb!

Caleb’s lucky day! We were invited back the next night. This time he brought Paw’s hat. And Anne spoiled him with some cowboy gear. One of Anne’s kids said, “he’s her dream kid”, talking about how energetic he was about the barn and horses.

After riding, Caleb got to lead him around. He loved it, and took it very seriously.

Enjoying the view. Got to see other horses and some longhorns just like in his cowboy book!

Yep, that’s sweat. He was going a hundred miles a minute for hours! We had to drag him away. We were told there is “therapeutic riding”. We are going to look into it here. He is definitely interested in it! It’s a LOVE!
