Starting Traditions.
I read an idea of decorating the kid’s room after they go to bed, so that when they wake on on their birthday, they see it. I did just that. I know he won’t remember but we(both him and I) loved it. He was so excited to see his banner and balloons this morning. I even let him play(and destroy)the banner.
Special Birthday Picnic.
I picked Daddy up from work and we had a little chick-fil-a picnic in the park. Just the three of us. It was so much fun. Caleb had a great time. He got his first kid’s meal including the fries(first time ever!) and lemonade. I think he was afraid we weren’t going to give him fries ever again because he was stuffing them in as fast as he could!
Our little family.
Mommy and Me.
Daddy and Me.
The boys and the set-up. So sweet-those boys!
Yummy lemonade.
Caleb <3’s chick-fil-a!
Thanks for being a good sport Daddy. It’s times like these that Caleb will remember fondly that his Dad was willing to be silly.(even if not this one specifically)
Swinging.
Sliding.
Hanging and a surprise(Caleb gets his car-seat turned around for the first time.)
What did we do the rest of the day? Naps, play and read all of his cards(again), and when Daddy got home Caleb got a birthday present from us and we took him to dinner. When we got home from dinner, he got one more chance to smash into his cake. Then bath and bed for the birthday boy.
What a great 1st birthday!!
