Ansley- 9 months

DSC_0005

Weight: 14lbs 6oz. 3%!!!

Height: 26inches. 5%!!!

Head: 16.5inches. 5%!!!

DSC_0006

  • Size 2 diapers(which are huge on her still but the 1’s were getting a little snug and a girl cant stay in 1’s forever!)
  • 6month clothes fit the best, although we can get a couple of 3month and several 9mo.
  • Two Teeth! The top front.
  • Loves sitting up but will randomly just fall backwards. DSC_0007
  • Very serious still but gets the giggles often. Thinks Daddy’s hair is hilarious! Daddy and Ans have this little game where they face each other and he tilts his head down so she can see the top of his head. She goes crazy- laughing!
  • Started showing signs of wanting to move. The only problem is that it’s not the right technique. She lays on her back, arches and pushes off with her heels. The aching thing has got to go its very counterproductive towards regular movement. But its hard to correct her because I’m just happy she is showing any motivation to move.
  • When you try to get her to do tummy time, she immediately pops herself into the crawling position. I guess she prefers that position a little more, if we are going to make her get off her back. She is also very close to getting herself from the crawling position to sitting(Thanks to Daddy therapy!)
  • Drinking about 3-5oz of breast milk about every 5hours. We are adding a scoop of formula to each bottle to maximize her calorie count to about 30cal/oz instead of 20. DSC_0008
  • Eats baby oatmeal in the morning, sometimes only one bite, sometimes 4T worth. Usually the smaller amount.
  • Dinner is babyfood 1/2-1jar. She LOVES Yo-Baby yogurt.
  • She has picked up a couple of puffs before but usually if she gets them in her mouth she spits it right out. She will chew on a mum-mum though.

  • Tablefoods(we are trying everything, to find something that she will eat!) that she has had are steakfry, refried beans, mashed potato, chocolate cake batter(haha)
  • Does not like being left alone in a room. Goes from happy/content to hysterics in 0.2!
  • Sleeps from about 7:30pm-7am. Waking to eat anywhere from 0-2x/night. We threaten to sleep train but I think its really just empty threats! She has us wrapped around her finger!DSC_0014
  • We lay her down in her bed on her belly. Before we can even let go of her she flips to her left all the way to her back. We place her blanket over her, she grabs the edge and rolls over to her side. And goes right to sleep. That whole routine happens in one smooth movement. She has got it exactly how she likes it!
  • Naps at 9am and 1pm. They usually last 1-3hours each.
  • Very curious(for anything she can easily reach, not willing to move to get it!) about things. Will try to grab anything she can.   DSC_0015
  • Doing Mommy/Daddy therapy for now. We are in the process of getting her PT set up with the same therapist that Caleb had, Mrs. Kristy!
  • Loves TV. Sad I know. But its usually just Praise Baby and maybe Barney. And its usually just once a day. And it’s usually during therapy.
  • Her thin blonde hair is growing like crazy. But still not enough to put a bow in without the headband.
  • Can stand either with something in front of her or something behind her for short periods of time.

Memorial Day Weekend

That boy loves the lake, dock and boats!

DSC_0090DSC_0093

There was a lot of tag teaming with the kids. Nana watched the kids so we could go on a “sunset cruise” everynight!

DSC_0097

There are so many people now, we cant all fit in my grandma’s lake house, so we borrowed the neighbors house too. Nana brought a couple of cool toys for the kids to keep them entertained. It worked!

Most of the time AE was inside. But we did take her out on the boat once.

The jacket is bigger than she is!

Aunt Allie went with us!

Daddy and Caleb went tubing!

Mommy and AE watching!

The boys convinced Mommy to go too!

Naps in her bathing suit!

Nana down at the “beach” with the kids. Good multitasking…I’m impressed!

LOVE this shot!

AE is not much of an outdoor girl. She would rather just snuggle with Nana then play in the lake!

The boy loves to drive. And boats. So you can imagine how much he loves to drive boats!

Ans enjoying Nana’s prizes. I think we have some growing to do before we can really wear that bow! haha!

DSC_0035 (3)

That bow is truly bigger than her head!

Now that’s more like it! LOVE this shot too!

Koozie project. We are getting together again, the whole family, later this summer. So we made koozies so we can differentiate whose drink is whose.

DSC_0045 (3)DSC_0046 (3)

Allie you did an amazing job!

DSC_0047 (3)DSC_0048 (2)

John was so good at this! He was very focused and helped with everyone else’s too! His koozie says “back to back world war champs” with an American flag on it. bahaha.

That’s Ashley!

Here are the final products!

1. Grandma, Deb, Buddy and Jane.

2. LA, Allie, Tifanie and Ashley

3. Denise, Courtney, Alex and Mackenzie

4.Jack, Scott, Zach and John.

5 and 6. Josh. The whole koozie idea was Josh’s. His idea started with koozies and ended with a Sharpie. I took it to the next level with all the embelishments. Josh insisted his said his name in a sharpie! haha.
