We flew to Texas for Josh’s sister, Alison ,to get married. It was a quick trip but we had a great time.
Congrats Alison and Jeremy!
At the airport ready to fly to Texas.
We made it past security and now have boarded Caleb’s first airplane. He was all smiles.
They had an extra seat, so they let us bring on his carseat(for free!)
Mommy and Caleb are ready!
Just waiting on everyone else to board the plane.
Naps on the plane.(the only time he cried was each way when he woke up in his carseat. I think he was confused about where he was because he wasn’t really awake, and wouldn’t stop crying until we could get him awake-which thank goodness didn’t take too long)
Aunt Nicole spoiling Caleb.(he WAS in his stroller!)
On our way from the airport to get the rental car.
Papa got a rental car big enough for us all to fit it. Our entourage included Papa, Vicki, Aunt Nicole, Mommy, Daddy and Caleb. We had about a hour drive to get to Alison.
Quick nap before all the Friday night festivities. (we didn’t even have time to get the crib from the hotel)
Caleb found his G-ma and G-dad!
The bride-to-be and Caleb at the rehearsal dinner!(yummy tacos with homemade guacamole!)
The Rehearsal. (Nicole was the Matron of Honor)
Daddy and Caleb ready for the wedding! (we were told Josh needed a purple tie,so we brought one but then Alison gave him one-I wanted to find a infant tie so Caleb could match all the boys but never did, so we took the opportunity to play with the extra purple tie!)
Mom and Dad taking too long!
Alison, the beautiful bride!
Jay walking Alison down the aisle.
“I do.” Mr. and Mrs. L!
Cutting the very cute cake.
The groom’s cake. Apparently Jeremy LOVES KFC!
On the way home. Back on the bus.
We had to…we were in Texas!
In the store with the hat, there was this dog that giggles and rolls around. Caleb was very amused, so his Papa and grandma bought him one, since our flight wasn’t leaving for a while. Caleb(well everyone) got some good laughs!
A Mama’s got to do what a Mama’s got to do! I even said to Nicole “I can’t believe how relaxed I’m being with germs, and letting Caleb roll around on the ground!” We had several hours to burn, and now many calories too! (and yep, I am wearing white socks with Crocs)
We made it home safely, it was about 9:30pm by the time we got Caleb in his bed. Thank goodness he fell asleep on the way home from the airport(about 1.5 hour drive). I definitely took notes on how to fly more efficiently with a baby, one being using a backpack instead of a diaperbag!
